Our Story

Built By Ghouls, For The Neighborhood

The Holly Lane Haunt started the way most great neighborhood traditions do: a handful of families deciding Halloween deserved more than a bowl of candy on the porch.

From A Few Decorations To A Full Trail

What started as a handful of decorations in one yard has spread, year after year, until it swallowed the whole street. The trail now runs over 50 animatronics, 15 live scarers, and 14 distinct scenes deep, every bit of it designed, built, wired, and haunted by volunteers who spend months getting ready for just a handful of nights each October.

There's no corporate sponsor behind any of this, no ticket booth, and no script. Just neighbors who love Halloween enough to spend their October nights scaring their own street, and give the whole community something free, spooky, and worth losing a little sleep over.

Why It's Free

We believe a great Halloween scare shouldn't come with a price tag. Holly Lane Haunt has always been free to attend. Building and maintaining the trail isn't free for us, though, so if you'd like to help cover the cost of fog juice, new animatronics, and repairs, donations are always welcome (and always optional). Look for the donation jar on site, or find us on Facebook.

The Mission

An Experience For All Of Davie County

Our goal every year is simple: give Davie County a Halloween worth remembering, and maybe a nightmare or two worth keeping. That means a gentler, family-friendly front trail and inflatable path for younger trick-or-treaters, and a much more intense back trail for guests who want the full scare. Whichever version you choose, you'll leave with candy, a story to tell, and (hopefully) your nerves intact.
